Calling all incoming and current college students,
We want to make preparing for Fall 2020 easier, so we've compiled some scholarships for those interested in working in healthcare.
The URA Scholarships
Applications must be postmarked on or before June 30 for consideration.
URA Scholarships are awarded for the purpose of higher education in the field of healthcare and/or medical business management. Eligible applicants include URA members in good standing, their children, member employees, their children, or any customer or student recommended by a URA member.
The Association may award up to $2,000 annually.
David Nejberger Scholarship
David (1961-2016) leaves a legacy of warmth, kindness, and generosity of spirit. He helped so many in the uniform industry establish their business and guided them in continuous growth while building unconditional friendships. The “Nej” and his sense of fashion, was relied upon by many of his manufacturers. He was a dedicated professional and true gentleman who loved our industry and will be deeply missed.
In honor of David, the URA has created the David Nejberger Scholarship. Recipients must be pursuing medical studies with emphasis on cardiac medicine. Retailers and vendors have overwhelmingly inquired about donating to the scholarship; therefore, the annual award amount will be determined based on the seed money contributed.
UTHEALTH Scholarship
UTHEALTH has a variety of scholarships for its different schools and majors. These scholarships were established through the generosity of donors, alumni, and friends of UT Health San Antonio. Recipients are chosen from those students who have applied for and received grant assistance from the Office of Veteran’s Services and Financial Aid.
